Anchored by faith and serving at a downtown Houston mission plant, my small steps serve others with joy and imperfection. The mission: to share the bright hope, meaning, and lift that comes from shining the light of Jesus in our everyday lives.
Let’s look to those who live with us, close to us, and around us. Those who cross our paths. And as we help, we are helped. God has good purposes for you and me. Ordinary extraordinary. What a difference we can make together!
Kindness has incredible power when combined with seeing, really seeing, those around us. Of noticing and attending to the nudges. That even the small helps, in the folds of our day-to-day lives, give hope to others and are important to God.
You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.
